Benito's Treasure. Biographical Sketch of Benito Ansola

The documentary is a kind of master class on the pioneer of Basque-language films and the founder of Lekeitio’s Euskal Zine Bilera. Benito Ansola talks to J. J. Bakedano about the secrets of his major productions: how he came up with the scripts, how he chose the actors, how he decided the locations, how he set up his films – originally in celluloid format – how he arranged the sound, and finally, how they shot his last films on video. In the space of 20 years he produced some twenty films, including documentaries and fiction shorts.
