Puzzle of Poison

In a small town, in a house, Mr. and Mrs. Pugh sit opposite one another, between them a book on the subject of the greatest murders by poison, a source of inspiration for Mr. Pugh, and an incentive perhaps for Mrs. Pugh to bring about a change in her life.
