Levine's images resemble the Warhol's or Rauschenberg silkscreens of 20 years ago (but even less slick) or maybe a color TV with a bad concussion. Every motion is looped at least a dozen of times and submerged in a swirl of multiple superimpositions, with every layer tinted a separate color. Representation is pushed to its breaking point and yet, nothing really obscures the iconography of stretchers and body bags, death and degradation that you read less with your eyes than your gut... –J.
